Garden City finished with 13 hits and scored in six innings, adding single runs in the second, fourth and fifth before putting two more on the board in the seventh. Blackwell scored twice in the first and once in the fifth and finished with eight hits.
Jordan Williams led the Wind attack with a home run, five RBI and one run scored. Colton Adams hit two home runs and drove in three runs, while Dominic Enbody collected three hits with one RBI and two runs scored. Robert Morosetti added two hits and an RBI, and Jacob Talamante also had two hits and scored twice.
Brendan Beard earned the win after allowing three runs on eight hits over seven innings. He walked one and struck out five. Brandon Vegas pitched a scoreless eighth with one walk and one strikeout, while A. Wibert worked a hitless ninth with two strikeouts. Blackwell starter Braeden Levandowski took the loss after surrendering six runs on seven hits and four walks in two innings.
