June 25 2024 The Blackwell Flycatchers defeated the Santa Fe Fuego 15-0, scoring in four innings and holding Santa Fe to four hits. Blackwell broke through with six runs in the first inning, added three in the fourth, four in the fifth and two in the sixth. The Flycatchers finished with 13 hits and committed one error, while Santa Fe had three errors.
Dustin Burroughs led Blackwell with three hits, three runs and three RBI, including two doubles. J. Dice reached base four times with three walks, scored three runs and drove in two, while Markus Bracey went 2-for-5 with three runs, one RBI and two stolen bases. C. Pfafman added three RBI, and Jack Skantze, Rey Lozano and Dominic Pisano also drove in runs.
Eli Davis earned the win with eight scoreless innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out 21. C. Johnson completed the shutout with a scoreless ninth, recording three strikeouts. Santa Fe starter Emmanuel Benavidez took the loss after allowing 12 runs, seven earned, on eight hits and nine walks in four innings.
