July 1 2024 The Blackwell Flycatchers defeated the North Platte 80s 16-7 at Morgan Field, using a five-run first inning and another five-run fourth to build a commanding lead. Blackwell outhit North Platte 17-11 and added two runs in the fifth, one in the sixth and two in the eighth.
D. Burroughs went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI for Blackwell, while R. Salinas and M. Bracey each drove in three runs. R. Lozano also had three RBI, and J. Dice reached base five times with two hits, three walks and three runs. Blackwell hit six home runs, including solo shots by Dice, N. Ojeda, Salinas, Bracey, Lozano and F. Geraldino. Burroughs added two doubles.
Matt Bataska earned the win after allowing nine hits and five earned runs in five innings, with two walks and six strikeouts.

Cade Caldwell each tossed a scoreless inning in relief. North Platte starter
Chase Titilah took the loss after surrendering 11 runs on 11 hits in 3.1 innings, while striking out five and walking three.
North Platte received two hits and two RBI from C. Tweten, with D. Wood, J. Liang, S. Christiansen and R. Lutinski also collecting two hits apiece. Wood, Tweten and Lutinski homered for the 80s, who scored twice in the third and eighth innings but could not overcome Blackwell’s early lead.
