7/6/2026-Blackwell FlyCatchers defeated the Garden City Wind 9-8 on July 6, 2026.

Blackwell built a 6-0 lead through four innings, scoring once in the second, four times in the third, and once more in the fourth. Cason Long drove in the first run, while Shane Morrow, Joseph Boone, Michael Alonso, Kernan Alba, and Caleb Marquez helped extend the lead.

Garden City answered in the fourth when Peyton Lewis singled in two runs to cut the deficit to 6-2.

Blackwell added three more runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by RBIs from Long and Shannon Martin, pushing the lead to 9-2.

The Wind made a late push, scoring once in the sixth and five times in the seventh. Dom Enbody delivered the biggest hit with a three-run double, but Blackwell held on for the one-run win.

Cason Long led Blackwell on the mound, allowing two runs over five innings while striking out four. Long also helped himself at the plate with two RBIs.
