A bases-loaded Ryan Lutinski single with two out in the bottom of the ninth scored Gustavo Rivera to give North Platte a 4-3 walkoff win over Blackwell Thursday at Bill Wood Field. The 80"s won the Mountain North semi series, 2 games to 0, to advance to the division finals at Garden City. The Flycatchers had taken a 3-0 lead in the third on an RBI single by Markus Bracey but the hosts slowly fought back before Lutinski"s clutch hit. Jake Boucher had two hits for North Platte while Dawson Wedeking had two hits and two RBIs for Blackwell.

Rico Rileys grand slam highlighted the pivotal fifth, which saw the 80s send 15 batters to the plate against four Flycatcher pitchers. Ian Santos also clubbed a three-run homer for North Platte as starting pitcher Joe Barrons got the win. Mark Davis had three of Blackwells 10 hits while Rey Lozano singled twice and scored three runs.
